Chronic Fatigue & ME Symptoms

ME Symptoms

Chronic Fatigue & M/E Symptoms…

There can be a number of reasons for you to have these chronic and often invisible symptoms.  Many of them although horrid, can be reversed with the right help and support.  They are symptoms, not the cause, so I invite you to look much deeper and find where it all started!!

  • Severe flu like symptoms – chronic fatigue.
  • Exhaustion – both severely physical and mental.
  • Adrenal fatigue.
  • Hormone problems – the HPA axis (Hypothalamus, Pituitary, Adrenal Axis – the three glands that regulate hormones, including cortisol and adrenaline, to keep our bodies working properly).
  • Difficulties sleeping, leading to feeling un-refreshed after a nights sleep.
  • Foggy or fuzzy head – brain fog.
  • Problems focusing with the eyes.
  • Problems with short term memory and concentration – incoherence.
  • Sensitivity to light and noise – fuzzy hearing.
  • Severe headaches.
  • Cognitive issues – slurred speech or words that come out not making sense.
  • Being cold and feeling the cold.
  • Low blood pressure, feeling dizzy when standing, or possibly fainting.
  • Heart palpitations, chest pains and accelerated heart rate at night.
  • Adrenaline rushes, especially at night or around 3 – 4am.
  • Being “tired, but wired”.
  • Muscular aches and pains – sometimes severe.
  • Problems walking and even being upright and standing – wobbly legs that feel as though they aren’t part of your body.
  • Feeling or being sick.
  • Dizziness.
  • Swollen glands.
  • Sore lymph nodes.
  • Extreme tiredness after any form of exercise – chronic fatigue.
  • Depression caused by feeling so ill and helpless.

There are good clinics such as http://www.theoptimumhealthclinic.com that are able to work with you and test for certain vitamin, mineral or chemical imbalances – testing to see how the body is utilising and carrying these necessary nutrients to the cells.  The OHC work (in a nut shell) by putting together a comprehensive and in-depth medical history with you, working step by step, doing any necessary blood tests and various other tests if required, looking at your nutrition and cellular balance, then working to restore the body to its fully functioning state.

Counselling or Talking & Relaxation TherapyHypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Personalised Solution Focused Therapy, are all part of the process of getting well again.

The need to work with the nervous system through one of these mediums, to “calm things down” – the HPA axis.  Changing a life time of underlying stress, underlying beliefs, eating habits and slowing the mind down, can be hard to do on your own…
